Richard Clarke
Richard has had more than 20 years of experience in the seafood business, where he has gained extensive knowledge of fish markets around the world. Richard is a Kiwi (meaning New Zealander, not the bird or fruit) and spends a large portion of his time trying to locate the best seafood deals available, whether in New Zealand or from around the globe.
When not busy working for his valued clients or suppliers, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife Claire, 2 sons, Nicholas & Andrew and his daughter Diana. Occasionally, Richard manages to find a spare Saturday or Sunday to enjoy a relaxing game of golf. Other pastimes include following the All Blacks rugby team and family trips to Lake Taupo for a bit of fishing and relaxation.
During her 7 years in the seafood industry, Rawinia Amaru continues to enjoy the variety she experiences with her work and the fact that each and every order provides something different. Although fairly easy going, Rawinia fully understands the importance of ensuring that all aspects of an order are correct and meet the necessary requirements.
Although Rawinia grew up in Wellington, she now calls Tauranga her home, where she enjoys a more relaxed lifestyle and a lot less wind. In her spare time, Rawinia enjoys playing softball and being a spectator in sports such as rugby and netball. One of Rawinia's favourite pastimes is traveling, with trips already completed to Australia, Japan, and a one-year extended trip to the USA, which she still considers to be a major highlight of her life.
Greg has more than 14 years experience in the New Zealand seafood industry including 5 years as a New Zealand Ministry of Fisheries Inspector. He has worked on a variety of vessels such as deep sea factory trawlers and deep sea Tuna trolling vessels. Since his time at sea, Greg has worked for many years as a Fleet Quality Control Manager and Fleet Manager for a large NZ Fishing company that operates up to eight deep sea factory trawlers. Greg joined Marine Foods in 2003 as a Seafood Trader and his primary objective is to focus on developing new business into the European and Baltic sector.
Greg and his family (Sandra, Marika and Ella) have recently moved to Tauranga and are finding it a great place to live. Greg speaks Russian having spent time at sea on many Russian charter vessels in NZ waters. He enjoys time with his family, recreational fishing, swimming and surfing.
Carol is the latest person to join the company. Although new to the seafood industry she has over 20 years experience in administrative and export documentation roles. She enjoys the challenge that comes with having a large customer base from all over the world and the variety of work required to meet those customer’s needs.
Carol has recently moved to Tauranga. In her spare time enjoys getting away to the great outdoors with her partner and partaking in activities such as hiking, camping and recreational fishing. When the weather doesn’t permit getting outdoors she stays indoors and enjoys creative craftwork.
